Hello!  I promised you last week that I’d have a fun new collection for you today, but I don’t have it quite yet.  I really enjoyed my RV trip but when I got home I had only one day to do all 13 loads of laundry (ugh!) and get organized for going back to work.  The many many forest fires burning across the province of BC have left us with a haze of smoke everywhere.  That campfire smell gets into everything so even the clothes and linens we didn’t use on our trip had to be washed.  Of course, work is a bit of a mad-house these days too… I dispatch for 19 urban and rural fire departments in the south-western region of BC, so I’m sure you get the idea…

It’s going to be a busy weekend around my place.  I’m at work right now until 7am and then I need to get home and sleep a few hours.  When I get up I’ll only have a little bit of time before guests start arriving for my weekend-long birthday celebration.  Our friends will be pulling their trailers into our front pasture and setting up camp, and the guys will be pulling out the big smoker to make pulled pork for me.  Yummy!  It’ll be a weekend of fun, pool time, and lots of wine.  I hope yours will be just as awesome!
