Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there… I wonder if there actually are any that read these posts? No doubt scrapbooking is a largely female occupation, but we love our menfolk and we love to celebrate them when we can. This week I’m re-releasing my classic, retro-style collection, Dear Old Dad. Dad, pops, papa, father, padre, old man… whatever name you give him he’s the guy that’ll never let you down. A father is a girl’s first love and a boy’s first hero. He is a guide, a leader, a protector, and a teacher. He’s the man you look up to no matter how tall you grow!

I just wish the Dad/Father kits out there included ‘bonus’ Dad or ‘step’ Dad word art/word bits.
My husband stepped in to fill that role for my daughter 8 years ago and she is now 16. I would love to do Father’s Day/Family pages that they both would like but just “Dad” doesn’t work. 🙁
He calls her his ‘bonus’ daughter as he has 2 daughters and 1 son. She calls him her ‘bonus’ Dad…sounds better than ‘step’ Dad.
That’s a great suggestion Kellie! I’m surprised that I didn’t think of it, as I’m also someone who had a great step-dad.
