The best thing about memories is making them!
I just love this time of year! It’s getting sunny and warm, and my flowers are beginning to bloom. My peonies are getting ready to burst forth in a riot of beautiful pinks and white. They’re my absolute favourite flowers of all! Beauty in Bloom captures all the gorgeousness of a garden in full flower, with the soft watercolours that are reminiscent of a Monet-style painting.

I came up with the idea for this kit the other day when my daughter came home after being out with her dad. She had picked me a beautiful bouquet of little yellow flowers and proudly handed them over with a hug and a kiss. Sweetness itself! That took me right back to when my son was little and he’d pick flowers for me everywhere we went. He even bought me a vase full of fake flowers at a garage sale once… it was completely hideous, but I proudly displayed it for anyone to see. How could I not? He spent his own money on it and was so proud of it. 🙂 Kids really are just wonderful at showing love for someone… I wish more adults would take note!
Posies was inspired by all the wonderfully sweet kids who love their mamas. If you’re a mom (even if it’s to some fur babies) then I wish you a Happy Mother’s Day!

Spring is finally here! The grass is getting greener, plants are emerging from the soil, and the birds are chirping once again. I can’t tell you how happy this makes me! I am completely a sunny (and warm!) weather girl. Here on the west coast we’ve had an unusually cold and snowy winter. A few weeks ago we had a foot or so of snow on the ground and it was absolutely freezing, whereas a year ago at that time we were sitting outside in t-shirts. Thanks Facebook for that reminder…
