You’re the Zest
I’m back this week with a new release for you. You’re the Zest is not only about the joys of refreshing lemonade on a hot summer’s day, but also about learning to appreciate what you have in life. It’s about feeling grateful for your many blessings, and making the best of those not-so-great moments. Same As I Ever Was
This week’s collection is all about aging gracefully. It’s my birthday coming up on the 24th and it’s a big one this year…. 50! *gasp*
I heard the song “Once in a Lifetime” by the Talking Heads recently, and that repeated line, “same as it ever was” sort of stuck in my head. I kept thinking that despite getting older, I am the same as I ever was. Hence, this collection was born. Despite me moving into a new decade, I don’t feel any older than I did when I was younger. I certainly wouldn’t go back to being that uncertain 20-something! (Although I wouldn’t mind being the size I was back then, I won’t lie!) All in all, I’ve enjoyed getting older and becoming who I really am. I’ve found a real freedom to just be me in recent years, and that’s kind of nice.
Fun in the Sun
Sunshine and summertime are two of my favourite things! Summer is a time when it’s okay to be a kid again. You can splash in the pool, run through a sprinkler, or even have a water fight… and nobody looks at you as though you’ve lost it! As adults, we don’t get many opportunities to just play, so take advantage of the moment and go have some Fun in the Sun!
Country Kitchen
