There’s just nothing like a beautiful sunny day at the water’s edge. Whether you love to fish or just float, the lake is definitely a place to go for some fun and relaxation. We spend a lot of time each summer in British Columbia’s southern interior, where there are many many gorgeous lakes to be found. (All surrounded by amazing wineries… bonus!) We camp and swim and drink wine… my idea of paradise!!!
Family Time
Family time is precious, no doubt about it. And while some days may feel like there’s been a little too much family time, thanks to Covid, overall it is a really precious thing. If one good thing has come out of this pandemic, it’s shown us how little “stuff” we really need in our lives! Our families and loved ones are more precious to us than ever, and that’s exactly how it should be!
This week’s release celebrates that wonderful time we get to spend together. Check it out…
I’ll continue to be featured designer over at Sweet Shoppe, and you can still pick up my kit A Sunshiny Day *FREE* with $10 purchase! Be on the look out as well for my Featured 15… these favourites of mine will be on sale Tuesday!
A Sunshiny Day
Hello and happy Friday! I hope you’re not too scrapped out from last weekend’s iNSD activities. I’m coming to you as this week’s Featured Designer at Sweet Shoppe. With a $10 purchase you can get my latest kit FREE! Who doesn’t love free, really? If you’re curious, you can read a little bit about me HERE in my interview.
I’ve been spending more and more time outside now that the sun is shining again in my corner of the world. I just love this time of year when everything is blooming and the sun is out. It just makes me happy! I thought it would be a perfect theme for my “Day” in our A Day to Remember series.
I have to say that since I started planning this kit I’ve had A Sunshiny Day by Charley Pride stuck in my head. It’s a sweet song, but seriously… enough’s enough! Check out the video and you too can get it stuck in your head! You’re welcome!!!
This kit is packed full of flowers and greenery and other bits found in nature. And of course there are extras that you can grab as well to round out your collection:
Have you ever thought about joining our team? We’re actually on the lookout for a talented community member or two to run our Instagram account! This is an incredibly important position on our team, and we’re really looking for someone we can rely on, so if you think you’d be a great fit and you’re willing to commit to taking it on long term, we’d love to hear from you…
Our social media Babes have full access to anything they want from the shoppe, plus behind the scenes access to create weekly with our Newest Releases too, so we think this position is pretty sweet! It’s been more than 3 years since these positions opened on our team, so don’t miss this special opportunity!
iNSD Goodies!
Happy iNSD! If you’re anything like me you’re buying all sorts of amazing new goodies and scrapping up a storm this weekend. There are all sorts of fun and games in the SSD forum, with prizes to be won and free-with-purchase kits to be collected. I have a new collection and a new template set for you too… check it out!
These templates are not for the faint of heart! There’s some serious layers in there (Template 1 has 90!) so I hope you’re in the mood to cluster. That’s the awesome thing about templates though. If you need help with something like clustering, all the work is basically done for you. Just drop in your elements, twist and turn them just so, add in a drop shadow, and you’re done. Easy peasy!
Happy scrapping!
Baskets and Bunnies
Happy Easter! It’s the weekend for the Easter Bunny to make his appearance and leave lots of sweet treats to find! This year we won’t be celebrating with family and friends, but we can still make it special and fun. Normally we’d be off camping with friends, or home with family and attending church services, before heading out to an amazing brunch. This year I’ll be making eggs benny for the family, and will get to watch my grand-daughter’s first egg hunt! (I provide her daycare, so we do get to see them regularly, thank goodness!) However you are able to celebrate in these odd times, I hope that this weekend brings you joy, and chocolate!
