Baskets and Bunnies

Happy Easter!  It’s the weekend for the Easter Bunny to make his appearance and leave lots of sweet treats to find!  This year we won’t be celebrating with family and friends, but we can still make it special and fun.  Normally we’d be off camping with friends, or home with family and attending church services, before heading out to an amazing brunch.  This year I’ll be making eggs benny for the family, and will get to watch my grand-daughter’s first egg hunt!  (I provide her daycare, so we do get to see them regularly, thank goodness!)  However you are able to celebrate in these odd times, I hope that this weekend brings you joy, and chocolate!

I had to make a little page for myself of course, featuring my youngest, Sarah, with my grand-daughter Olivia.  Sarah is a very proud Auntie and just loves Baby O so much!  The feeling is mutual… Olivia is totally charmed by Sarah and follows her around everywhere!

Blue Jeans Babe

Who doesn’t love jeans?  We all have our favourite pair that we wear until they basically wear out!  But even more than the jeans themselves, is the feeling we get when we wear them… that sense of “cool” or casual comfort.  They go with anything and can be dressed up or down.  Perfection!

I’m sure if you’re anything like me, you spend most of your time and energy taking care of those around you, and leaving little for yourself.  This past year especially, we’ve all been over-burdened with care and worry.  It’s time to think about ourselves!  Take a few minutes to do something just for you (like scrap a page with my new kit!  haha) and recharge a little bit.  We deserve it!!!

I just had to scrap a page for myself (below) and I couldn’t think of an occasion where I needed a little me-time more than the morning after my daughter’s wedding.  It was in our backyard and was quite the event!  I spent months (and months!) planning and organizing.  Happily, it went off without a hitch and I couldn’t have imagined the day any better.  Most importantly, my daughter and her new husband were thrilled with their day.  But man, was I pooped!  The photo in the page was me sitting pool-side enjoying some champagne the next morning.  I skipped the OJ for my mimosa and just went straight to the bottle.  Someone snapped a photo of me enjoying the moment… captured me pretty well, I’d say!

My Valentine
