Same As I Ever Was

This week’s collection is all about aging gracefully.  It’s my birthday coming up on the 24th and it’s a big one this year…. 50!  *gasp*

I heard the song “Once in a Lifetime” by the Talking Heads recently, and that repeated line, “same as it ever was” sort of stuck in my head.  I kept thinking that despite getting older, I am the same as I ever was.  Hence, this collection was born.  Despite me moving into a new decade, I don’t feel any older than I did when I was younger.  I certainly wouldn’t go back to being that uncertain 20-something!  (Although I wouldn’t mind being the size I was back then, I won’t lie!)  All in all, I’ve enjoyed getting older and becoming who I really am.  I’ve found a real freedom to just be me in recent years, and that’s kind of nice.

Country Kitchen

iNSD and Great Expectations!

Happy Friday!  It’s iNSD weekend and I have massive new collection for you this week, all about pregnancy!  It’s such a magical time when everything is new and exciting, yet scary as hell.  You feel wonderful and horrible all wrapped up in one.  Your life is about to change forever, and you should definitely scrap about it!  Great Expectations is a super soft, sweet collection which is suitable for scrapping your pregnancy, whether you know the sex of the baby or not.  With a few fun themed elements, and a whole slew of moms-to-be, along with wordys and titles to accent your pages, you will surely have everything you need to create some amazing pages!

There are so many amazing products in store this weekend, and I couldn’t resist creating a page with my new collection when I saw this template by Cindy Schneider.  It was perfect for these photos taken of me while I was pregnant with my last baby… eleven years ago now!  *sob*

The creative team blew me away with their amazing pages as well!  The last image is a little hybrid project created by Angie for a baby shower favour.  How cute is that?
