To My Valentine

Love is in the air! It’s the time of year when hearts are open and romantic gestures abound. I’m not a big believer in Valentines Day, per se, but I do love “love”! I’ve created a new collection that’s all about expressing yourself to the one you love. For me, it’s in the little every day details… for example, I recently had a tire that was losing air. I didn’t have to ask, but hubby took my tire in and had it fixed for me. Not a big deal, but it saved me from finding a flat tire one morning! What’s your favorite way to show someone you love that they’re special?

And just one last thing to point out… take a peek at the very end of this post to see another project of mine. Sometimes I like to step away from the computer and do something creative with my hands!

I thought I wouldn’t have many pages to show off with this because I was working on it right up until this morning! But man, did these ladies ever knock it out of the park! The first page is mine, from my Honeymoon in Waikiki back in 2008.

Do you ever feel the need to step away from the computer and just get your hands dirty? I sure do! When I get the urge to do something crafty I grab a fun project from Homeworks Etc. They’re a little DIY craft shop here in my town, but they ship all over the US and Canada. They offer up so many really fun wood projects that you can paint… and all the supplies you need are included! How awesome is that? The shop also sells some beautiful home decor items as well, if you just want to add a few pretty touches here and there.

Homeworks Etc. has some monthly subscription options if you want to be able to decorate with themed items on a monthly basis. I won’t lie… I subscribe to them all! Check out the photos below to see this month’s projects.

Aren’t those awesome? I highly encourage you to try it out for yourself!!! Oh, and I noticed as I was posting these that they totally match my new collection… it was just a coincidence, I promise! But a happy one… now I’m going to scrap a page about it!

Family Time

Family time is precious, no doubt about it. And while some days may feel like there’s been a little too much family time, thanks to Covid, overall it is a really precious thing. If one good thing has come out of this pandemic, it’s shown us how little “stuff” we really need in our lives! Our families and loved ones are more precious to us than ever, and that’s exactly how it should be!

My Valentine

Love is in the air! It’s the weekend for all things smooshy and gushy. How do you like to say, “I love you!”?? We designers at Sweet Shoppe say it by creating a whole bunch of awesomeness for you. You can get all sorts of amazing goodies this week. Scooper/Dipper Weekend Extravaganza!

It’s a fabulous weekend at Sweet Shoppe! We’re having an amazing CU Extravaganza as well as Scooper/Dipper fun, and have I got some awesomeness to show you! I have three(!) new releases this weekend… to say I’ve been busy is an understatement, but I think you’ll agree it was worth it. Check out all these goodies that I’ve created with Southern Serenity Designs, Simple Pleasure Designs, Grace Lee, and Meghan Mullens.

First up is a new collection called Winter Wonderful. Amber of Southern Serenity created some amazing coordinating templates that I adore! For this weekend only you can grab the whole thing in an all-in-one bundle with my collection and Amber’s templates. You won’t want to miss that deal!

Next up is Kindness is the New Black, created with my fellow Canadian Jennifer of Simple Pleasure Designs. What a thrill to finally get to work with her! She has such a fun, quirky, unique style that I just love. We both agreed that “kindness” is a theme we would love to see more of in the world right now.

And finally, I have this sweet little Triple Dip, created with Grace Lee and Meghan Mullens, both of whom I’ve had the pleasure of working with before. How’s this for a bright pop of colour… perfect for showing someone that you love them!!!
