The best thing about memories is making them!
Summer is here and with it comes all the treats! Who doesn’t love a delicious ice cream once in a while? There are so many flavours out there now, but I like the classics… my very favourite is Neapolitan. Yummy! So what’s your favourite flavour? And most importantly, one scoop or two???
We in the Pacific Northwest were hit with extreme temperatures over the last week, which is very unusual for our area. In my backyard it was in the mid-forties Celsius (over 100F)! I spent my days going between the pool, and the AC indoors. Our poor horses were so hot that I was hosing them off at regular intervals, which they loved. Thankfully we do have one area behind our barn that stays fairly shady and I was able to keep them there for the most part. I love the sunshine and heat, but that was a bit much!
My latest release, Heat Wave, carried on with the theme. Full of summer things like fans, popsicles, and cold drinks, you definitely be able to scrap those hot summer days!

There’s just nothing like a beautiful sunny day at the water’s edge. Whether you love to fish or just float, the lake is definitely a place to go for some fun and relaxation. We spend a lot of time each summer in British Columbia’s southern interior, where there are many many gorgeous lakes to be found. (All surrounded by amazing wineries… bonus!) We camp and swim and drink wine… my idea of paradise!!!
I just love this time of year! It’s getting sunny and warm, and my flowers are beginning to bloom. My peonies are getting ready to burst forth in a riot of beautiful pinks and white. They’re my absolute favourite flowers of all! Beauty in Bloom captures all the gorgeousness of a garden in full flower, with the soft watercolours that are reminiscent of a Monet-style painting.
