During the Christmas season there’s nothing I love more than sitting in my jammies, coffee in hand, and watching the excitement of Christmas morning on my children’s faces. For just that little while there’s nothing to do but enjoy one another’s company and share laughter and love. It’s what’s so magical about Christmas morning!

I’m coming to you a few days late with my latest but there’s still time to take advantage of the Buffet specials. I’ve gone back to work these last couple of weeks after being off for 5 months. Let’s just say that it’s kicking my butt a bit! I’m a shift worker (fire dispatcher) and I work mainly night shifts, so I’ve had to get back into my night shift mode. I was off long enough to feel like a “normal” person again, so it’s definitely an adjustment! Anyway, it’s thrown off my game a bit, so my apologies. 🙂

Hello! I’m here today to show off my latest collection to you. In Vino Veritas sums up nicely the fun I have with my friends… laughing together, being silly together, and enjoying some great wine together. We take an annual trip to the Okanagan which is the wine country of southern/central British Columbia. To be honest, we search out wineries wherever we go…. and have found some very good ones, and some not so very good ones. I also happen to have two wineries within in walking distance of my house, which has proved rather convenient on occasion. 🙂
So what does it mean? “In wine is truth.” Need I say more than that? Those girls nights full of laughter and shared sips make for some priceless memories. So pour yourself a glass of wine and scrap them!

Are you all ready for Christmas? I’ve finished all of our prep work and now just have to wrap. Typically I throw on “It’s a Wonderful Life” and wrap the night away (after the kids are asleep, of course!) It’s one of those little yearly rituals that bring me comfort.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! But amongst all the glitz and glam and shopping frenzy, it’s important to take a moment to remember what’s truly important during this holiday season. Take the time to appreciate your family and friends, and remember those who are gone. Savour all of the little moments and acts of kindness that make Christmas time so special and spread some joy this holiday season!
