The best thing about memories is making them!
During the Christmas season there’s nothing I love more than sitting in my jammies, coffee in hand, and watching the excitement of Christmas morning on my children’s faces. For just that little while there’s nothing to do but enjoy one another’s company and share laughter and love. It’s what’s so magical about Christmas morning!

I’m coming to you quite late with this month’s Buffet, but with good reason, I promise. My eldest daughter is getting married on Saturday and I’ve been so busy with the planning and prep that it hasn’t left a whole lot of time for designing. The design work has definitely taken a back seat recently. I thought rather than skipping this post altogether, I’d go ahead and post it right here right now. (Haha.. see what I did there? wink) Remember, all Buffet items are 50% off through the 5th.
I think we spend so much time wishing… for that new car or house, for more money, a better job, for a happier, easier life. As John Lennon once wrote, “Life is what happens while you’re busy making other plans.” Stop wishing away your life and celebrate what you have today, right here right now!

I came up with the idea for this kit the other day when my daughter came home after being out with her dad. She had picked me a beautiful bouquet of little yellow flowers and proudly handed them over with a hug and a kiss. Sweetness itself! That took me right back to when my son was little and he’d pick flowers for me everywhere we went. He even bought me a vase full of fake flowers at a garage sale once… it was completely hideous, but I proudly displayed it for anyone to see. How could I not? He spent his own money on it and was so proud of it. 🙂 Kids really are just wonderful at showing love for someone… I wish more adults would take note!
Posies was inspired by all the wonderfully sweet kids who love their mamas. If you’re a mom (even if it’s to some fur babies) then I wish you a Happy Mother’s Day!
I don’t have any pages to show you, as I literally finished this kit yesterday afternoon. My team hasn’t even had a chance to work with it yet, but I’ll try to post some pages when I have them. In the mean time, here’s a little gift for you.

Is there anything sweeter than a newborn baby? The way they smell, the little sounds they make, the way they still smunch up into a little ball… these are the little things that (almost!) make me want to have another! We’ve had two new little babies born to good friends in the last month so I’m getting plenty of snuggle and cuddle time. Let me tell you, it sure makes those baby hormones go into overdrive! But then they start crying and I get over it quickly. LOL With four of my own ranging in age from 25 to 6 (yes, that’s right) I think I’m done. But I sure do love those cuddles!
Sweet Little Baby is available in boy, girl, or neutral palettes… or you could grab the whole bundle! ‘Cause why wouldn’t you? 🙂
